A step by step guide to use Google Keyword Planner for Keyword Research

Here is a step-by-step guide to using Google Keyword Planner for keyword research which are as follows :

Step 1: Sign in to Google AdWords using your Gmail account

Step 2: Click on “skip the guided setup”

Step 3: Click on “save and continue”

Step 4: Click on “Tools” and then click on “Keyword Planner”

Step 5: Click on “search for a new keyword using a phrase, website or category”

Step 6: Enter any keyword or phrase in the required field

Step 7: Here I entered “keyword planner” and then click on “Get idea”

Step 8: Here is a list of related keywords, click on “download”

Step 9: A pop-up box will open, click on “Download”

Step 10: In the new pop-up box, click on save file

Step 11: Open downloaded file, it will open in excel

Step 12: by using the “custom sort” option within “sort and filter” and sort by “competition”; sort on  “values” and order “smallest to largest” and click on “OK”

Step 14: Now choose such keywords which have a maximum average monthly search but minimum competition

Conclusion: Always use such a keyword that has a maximum average monthly search but minimum competition
