>>Contents are not displayed in chronological order.
>>Contents are more static.
>>Comments on pages are disabled.
>>You cannot subscribe to RSS feed.
>>Contents updates infrequently.
>>Home Page is compulsory.
>>Portfolio page, Privacy Policy Page, Terms and Condition, FAQ Page, Products and Services page are some of the important content of the website.
At last, a website can be a single page content or consisting of millions of pages depending on the purpose for which it is designed.
What is a blog?
A blog is generally a weblog where contents are displayed in chronological order of the posts. Some of the important criteria to be fulfilled for the identification of a blog are listed below:
>>Posts are the basic unit of content on a website.
>>Contents are displayed in chronological order.
>>Contents are more static.
>>You can easily comment on any post within a blog.
>>You can subscribe to RSS feed.
>>Majority blogs are enabled with "Recent Posts" and "Popular Posts" widget to let people know about changes in the blog.
>>You can see author name, category, date, etc. on each post in a blog.
>>Mainly, blogs are created on a single topic.
At last, a blog can be a website where contents are displayed in the form of posts. Just remember "All blogs is a website but all websites are not a blog".
Note: Websites are generally created to promote your business either it is dealing with any products or services whereas blogs are generally created to provide some information on a topic and advertise other's services to earn money online.
